Karim Rashid

Karim Rashid designed the Authentic Living collection bringing together the ADN and elegance of two timeless Italian design icons: Lamborghini and Riva 1920

Karim Rashid is a renowned designer with a prolific career. He has produced over 3000 designs that are currently in production and has won more than 300 awards, establishing himself as a design legend. His extensive range of work allows him to cross-pollinate ideas, materials, and aesthetics across various typologies, breaking boundaries and expanding consumers’ horizons.
DESIGNER MEUBLES KARIM RASHID

Karim’s designs are featured in 20 permanent collections, and his artwork is exhibited in galleries worldwide. He is a recurring winner of several design awards, including the Red Dot award, Chicago Athenaeum Good Design award, ID Magazine Annual Design Review, and IDSA Industrial Design Excellence award. Additionally, he has received honorary doctorates from the Ontario College of Art & Design and Corcoran College of Art & Design. His largest retrospective to date was in 2008 at the Instituto Tomie Ohtake in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Recently, Karim curated an exhibition titled “Totally Rad: Karim Rashid does Radiators” for the Museum of Art and Design in New York City. He also frequently lectures at universities and conferences worldwide, emphasizing the importance of design in everyday life.

Karim has been featured in various magazines and books, including Time, Financial Times, NY Times, Esquire, GQ, and others. His latest monograph, “KarimSpace,” which showcases 36 of his interior architecture designs, was released by Rizzoli in 2009. Other publications include “Design Your Self,” a guide to living published by Harper Collins in 2006, “Digipop,” a digital exploration of computer graphics published by Taschen in 2005, a compact portfolio published by Chronicle Books in 2004, as well as two monographs titled “Evolution” (Universe, 2004) and “I Want to Change the World” (Rizzoli, 2001). In his free time, Karim enjoys exploring his diverse interests, including DJing, art, and fashion, with the goal of creatively impacting every aspect of our physical environment.
