Avalon by Arketipo is a dining table designed by Mauro Lipparini with a clear sense of material drama. The table does not rely on ornament; its character comes from the meeting of curved, hammered glass and a grounded metal base, creating a surface that changes with light, movement and the surrounding architecture.

Seen from a distance, Avalon has a calm, composed silhouette. Up close, the glass reveals a more sensory quality: reflections become fragmented, colour gains depth, and the table top takes on the irregular beauty of a worked material rather than a flat industrial plane.

Design language and proportions

The design is defined by controlled tension: a generous glass top appears to float above a more compact metal base, allowing the table to feel visually open while retaining a strong centre of gravity. The round versions encourage conversation and fluid circulation, while the rectangular version brings a more formal architectural rhythm to dining rooms, meeting areas and refined hospitality interiors.

Avalon is particularly suited to spaces where the dining table is part of the atmosphere rather than simply a functional object. Its proportions allow the hammered glass to become a reflective plane for daylight, pendant lighting, ceramics and table settings, giving each interior a different reading of the same design.

Materials and craftsmanship

The top is made from curved and hammered glass with a thickness of 12 mm. This treatment gives the surface a tactile visual depth, softening reflections and introducing a crafted irregularity that feels precise but never sterile.

The base is produced in metal and offered in liquid burnished or micaceous brown finishes. These darker, mineral-toned bases support the glass with quiet strength, allowing the table top to remain the main visual field while anchoring the composition.

Round Ø200 × H75.5 cm offers a broader dining surface with a stronger architectural presence, ideal for generous residential rooms and hospitality settings.

Rectangular 250 × 110 × H75.5 cm gives Avalon a more linear character, with a balanced length suitable for formal dining rooms, meeting spaces and elongated interiors.

Finishes and customization

The glass top is offered in smoked hammered glass, Pacific Blue hammered glass and bronze hammered glass according to the supplier pricing documentation. Each finish changes the emotional temperature of the table: smoked glass feels architectural and restrained, Pacific Blue introduces a cooler chromatic depth, while bronze brings a warmer reflection that works beautifully with stone, walnut, plaster and subdued metallic details.
