Italian leather (“cuoio”) is world-famous.
Available in two types of leather.
Full-grain leather, full aniline (“pieno fiore”)
Vegetable tanning with tannic extracts, dyeing in barrels, aniline finishing, and greasing with fish and vegetable oils. Soft and smooth texture, natural grain, and uniform glossy color. Luxurious appearance. Thickness: 2.8-3.1 mm.
Aniline leather, also known as napa leather, is a high-quality material mainly used in the furniture and fashion industries. The term aniline refers to the specific dyes used in the leather manufacturing process. This special dyeing process is applied to delicate hides. The leather undergoes no other treatment, no protective coating, or surface finish, making it the most natural leather available.
Soft leather, semi-aniline (“Carezza”)
Cowhide of European origin, natural grain. Chrome tanning. Deep dyeing, finishing with resins and pigments. Product of the highest quality with a soft feel, waxy touch, and semi-matte appearance.
Semi-aniline leather is very similar to full aniline leather, as they are often made from the same top layer. The main difference lies in the application of a thin protective coating on the semi-aniline leather.
